Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy encompasses a wide variety of humanistic and psychoanalytic approaches,
theories and practices. Work may be with individuals, couples, families or groups. These broadly
related, typically interactive approaches may engage the modalities of thought, feeling and
spirituality. Enhancement of insight and awareness are sought and encouraged. The focus is
upon the discovery of meaning through exposing patterns, personal metaphors, myths and
stories with a view to individuals coming to a fuller comprehension of fundamental questions of
identity, relationship and direction. Life may then be lived more zestfully and authentically (more
in touch with one's self).
